Our Fall Polish Pottery Has Arrived! Or Has It?
Hmmm, I think we'll call this an appetizer or teaser shipment. The main shipment has been running two months behind, and they assure us their painters are painting furiously trying to finish our order. When they asked if we'd like a partial shipment we immediately said yes!
Today was spent unpacking, unwrapping, and sorting oodles of boxes filled with pottery. Not one piece was damaged! Unfortunately, they didn't include an invoice or packing slip, so tomorrow will be spent inventorying each piece, style & pattern so we can compare it with their paperwork. Friday will be spent tagging each item, and Friday night we'll start putting the items out on the floor.
We received a few very unique items that were a nice surprise for us. One is a Unikat basket with a handle. (Picture coming very soon). We have two fairly large boxes with lids. (pictures coming soon) A really gorgeous soup tureen with matching ladle. Three small hexagon boxes with lids -- I'm thinking salt would work nicely in those so I can grab a pinch for cooking when needed.
What items did we receive the most? Spoon rests, mini ruffled-edge bowls, small ruffle-edge bowls, tea bag & saucer holders, lunch/dessert plates, pedestal cups, lady's bubble mugs, mustard/jam pots and medium pie plates.
